Comprehensive colour Doppler ultrasound — carotid, renal, lower limb venous (DVT), obstetric and portal vein Doppler — on the GE Voluson E10 and Philips Affiniti 70G. FMF-certified consultant radiologist reporting.

Colour Doppler ultrasound combines standard B-mode ultrasound with colour-coded blood flow information — allowing our radiologists to assess blood vessels, detect clots, evaluate blood flow velocity and identify vascular disease in real time.
AV Scan operates two advanced Doppler-capable systems — the GE Voluson E10 with HD-Flow Doppler (the world's most sensitive colour Doppler for obstetric studies) and the Philips Affiniti 70G for general vascular Doppler.
Assesses blood flow through the carotid arteries in the neck — detecting plaque, stenosis and flow abnormalities that indicate stroke risk. Recommended for patients with hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol or history of TIA.
Detects deep vein thrombosis (DVT) — blood clots in the leg veins. Urgent assessment for swollen, painful legs especially after prolonged immobility, surgery or travel.
Assesses peripheral arterial disease — reduced blood flow to the legs causing claudication, rest pain or non-healing ulcers.
Evaluates blood flow to the kidneys — for renal artery stenosis, transplant kidney assessment and resistive index measurement.
Using the GE Voluson E10's HD-Flow Doppler — the most sensitive obstetric Doppler available globally — we assess:
Evaluates portal vein blood flow direction and velocity — for portal hypertension, liver cirrhosis and Budd-Chiari syndrome assessment.
